Description

Natural language processing (NLP) is the ability of computers to understand human speech. It is a sub-field of artificial intelligence concerned about computer interactions with natural human languages. NLP has been successfully applied to many practical use cases and that includes clinical/biomedical text.

In this webinar, attendees will learn how Natural Language Processing can be used in understanding clinical areas. As a practical use case, the session will include a hands-on session on how to apply Named Entity Recognition for clinical text mining.

Wuruola Oyewusi

 Research and Innovation Lead at Data Science Nigeria

Wuraola is a pharmacist and data scientist. She currently Leads Research and Innovation at Data Science Nigeria.

Her research interest is in Natural Language Processing and she has also been at the forefront of unstructured data application and open-source access, especially in the area of health and language.

She's also a Contributor for the Python Data Analysis Library, pandas.
